Meet the Team
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Meet the people who strive to improve the lives of young people and make our charity work so Well!

Project Co-ordinator
Andy Lavery
I design and deliver impactful youth programs like Well Strong, ensuring all training blocks align with the latest Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) research.
Driven by a passion for solving the real-world challenges young people face, I also founded Well Media—a platform dedicated to helping new graduates develop their career skills.
I love everything Well stands for. Every young person deserves the opportunity to realise their potential. To work in a team where all of our values and principles align is rare. This is a very special team to be a part of.

Youth Support and Partnership Manager
Gail Lavery
As the Youth Support and Partnership Manager, I lead our efforts to bridge the gap between education and employment for neurodiverse young adults.
I love working for the Well Foundation because I am passionate about empowering neurodiverse young people to recognise their own potential. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing our participants grow in confidence and take ownership of their paths.

Business Manager
Mia Ferry
As Business Manager at Well Foundation, I look after the finances and admin that keep everything running smoothly, and I lead on our grant applications to help bring in the funding that supports our work. I love working at Well Foundation because of the environment, it is genuinely one of the friendliest teams I've worked with. Everyone's pulling in the same direction, and there's a real sense that the work matters.
Knowing that the grants I help secure and the admin I handle directly translate into more sessions, more support, and more opportunities for people in Rochdale and Heywood makes the job feel really worthwhile.

Business Admin Apprentice
Matthew Haigh
I am a Business Admin Apprentice at Well Foundation. I am learning about administartion and handle the website you are seeing right now! I hope this apprenticeship helps me hone and gain skills for life.
By helping local people with their confidence, Well Foundation holds open arms to anyone struggling and that is one of the leading factors of why I love this charity.

Customer Service Apprentice
Jon Smith
I am currently doing an apprenticeship with Well Foundation. Before that, I was doing a 15-week course at Rochdale Training. After I completed it, I felt lost without direction, and I fell to alcohol to fill that void. I got support from various people from Rochdale Training and people who I knew.
The reason I like working for Well Foundation is because it gives people the motivation to find the confidence in themselves.
